Welcome to “Thanksgiving Vignettes”. 12 Bloggers joining together to show you their Thanksgiving vignettes, tablescapes, mantels and outdoor decor. If you are here from 21 Rosemary Lane welcome., it is always such a thrill to be in the same group as Barbara. At the end of the post you will see a complete list of all the bloggers, so if you missed anything you can catch up.
I am so excited to show you my Thanksgiving Tablescape that I pulled right out of Goodwill.
I love a casual or rustic tablescape, but sometimes you just want a little glam. Spending tons of money to achieve that look doesn’t have to happen. You can find it all at your local Goodwill store. Seems like so many people are getting rid of their silver, so with a little thrifty shopping you can pull a table together for mere pennies.
My living room and dining area are all one room, so I always try to tie the decor together.
I’ve started adding a little bit of Christmas to the room. I removed my sconces and added some glitter reindeer tree ornaments from At Home. The wreaths are $2.98 from Walmart that are decorated with some berries and flowers from the 99c store.
Everything on this table came from Goodwill except the placemats. They are ones I’ve had for years.
The candelabra was a fabulous find, but I always see silver candlesticks or you could use a glass hurricane with candles.
The revere bowl makes a great vase for a fall bouquet.
Pheasant or turkey figurines are usually available for mere pennies.
Silver trays are always plentiful and most run a couple of dollars. They don’t have to match, just pick the ones you like, they make great chargers. White dishes go with any tablesetting, you can even find some great ones at the Dollar Store too.
I found four of the silver goblets and then later found another four, so buy what you can when you see them. The gold rimmed water glass is a pretty compliment to any table, but adds a touch of elegance with the silver.
Look for the unusual too. I love this silver wine caddy.
When you mix it all together you have a lovely table that looks really expensive and grand for just a few dollars.
The buffet got a few special touches too.
The reindeer are from the 99c store, the glitter ball I’ve had for years and the mirror trees are from At Home.
Now off to set another table. I have 12 coming for Thanksgiving, so we are using both tables. How about you, are you entertaining too?
Next up is Kathy at All About Vignettes. She is the master of all things decor, so I am sure she has something special put together.
