Let’s Go Shopping & A Giveaway-Schumacher’s Chiang Mai Dragon

I love how some of my favorite designers and blogs mix all kinds of fabrics together.  It definitely is an art and one that I need to per-fect.  Fabric and color make such a dramatic change to a room and it totally fascinates me.  I love all kinds of color schemes and I love mixing fabrics.

A fellow blogger told me about a fabulous $2 Designer Fabric store at 19th Ave. and Thunderbird in Phx. if you live here.  Their regular store is called Home Fabrics and most of their fabrics are only $6.95 yd, and their selection is unreal, however finding the same fabric at $2yd is even better.   Before we get to the giveaway, let’s take a tour.  This place is totally amazing.

This place goes on for aisle after aisle – –

I loved a lot of their fabulous black and white fabrics.

I’m also into brown right now – –

and they had some great patterns to choose from.

I love animal prints and these were all well done.

Now if you stop in at their regular store – Home Fabrics at 32nd st. and Cactus, Phx – this greets you at the door.  They do custom work and this is just a tiny bit of what all they will make.  You choose your fabric and they will make it for you.  They have 25 stores across the country, so check your area and see if you have one.

They also have rugs that are fabulous.  See that hexagon beige and cream rug down at the end.  That was on sale for $199 and it would look fabulous when my new floors are installed.  I may need to go buy it.

Here are some more rugs in the background that are on sale for $99 and they show slipcovers and cushions that they will make.

This shows all the different kind of headings they will do for custom drapes, bedding and cushions.

More samples of slipcovers for chairs and look at all those fabulous rugs that are only $99.

So what did I buy?  I’m working on some browns now, so I added these three to the mix.

I also couldn’t resist this gorgeous black and white print.

I had a great day shopping, and I spent $12.  Now that is what I call cheap fun.  I have not been compensated in any way, I just wanted to pass along a great deal.

NOW ONTO THE GIVEAWAY

I have coveted this fabric for a very long time.  It is Chiang Mai Dragon by Schumacher and it has the most fabulous colors in it.  (See that little dragon face at the bottom)  For some reason this is reading a little orange on my computer, however it is really red.  This is the Alabaster colorway and sells for $165 yd with a 2 yd minimum.

I am offering enough pre-cut panels of the Chiang Mai Dragon to make 2 20×20 pillows and enough of the red scroll for 2 20×20 pillow

Here’s a pic I found on Etsy of the Chiang Mai pillow without the dragon. This is for sale for $85 each.

I am also including a floral piece to make 1 20×20 pillow and more red scroll.

If you are interested in these fabrics, just let me know in the comment section and I will announce a winner Friday the 17th.  Be sure there is an email so I can reach you.
