Welcome to the 2024 Summer Home Tour – My Home. I am thrilled to be starting off the tours this week sharing a little of my home. There will be three more ladies on todays tours, and I will give you links to them at the end of my post.
It doesn’t seem possible that we moved into this home 7 years ago. Time flys by so fast. I love this house, it’s been fun taking it from Builder Basic to something that reflects us. I think it is finally at the place where I just switch out a few decor items now and then, but for the most part, I love it just the way it is. Nothing fancy, just comfortable.
One of my favorite things about this house are the amazing 9 ft. windows. We get tons of light and it just makes every room so bright and inviting. As you can see, early morning light in the living/dining area is wonderful.
I’ve kept things pretty simple for summer. Just so soft aqua pillows and everything else pretty neutral.
My ficus tree had to get a little trim. I was growing too bushy for this corner, so I gave it a tiny haircut. Now it looks better. It definitely loves this light.
Just a couple of plants and my favorite cross on the coffee table.
I added my H throw blanket to the chair in the entryway. It added a bit of color to the leather chair.
I set a fun summer table for the dining area. My favorite hurricanes always look dramatic and the simple basket of flowers look fresh.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen your living and dining area look so cozy! I LOVE IT! The extra plants, the lamps lit, the color of the pillows – it all looks ready for guests. And I’m totally jealous of your real Ficus tree. I have such a brown thumb. I’d be afraid to trim it, fearing my touch would kill it. Looking forward to the tours this week! Happy summer. Stay cool!
