Eating Light & Lean – 160 Calories

I gained a few pounds these past two years and I need to get them off.  I love salads, but I have to admit that I am beginning to feel a little like a rabbit.  I wanted a sandwich, but how to have a healthy one and low on calories too.

Well can you believe this is a 160 calorie lunch and I get to have a sandwich.

I shop at Fry’s (Kroger) so everything I have here came from there.  These sandwich slims taste fabulous and are only 90 calories, plus they are super, super filling.

I add a little mustard, 0 calories and some tomato slices, 0 calories – —

I’m sure you’ve all seen the commercials from Sargento.  Well the ultra thins still taste like a slice of cheese and only 40 calories.  The taste without the calories, that is my kind of deal.

I also love turkey and ham, so I picked up some of both.

As you can see it says that a serving is 2 slices at 60 calories.  That means one slice is 30 calories and these are huge slices, so you can fold it in half on your sandwich and really feel like you have a ton of meat.

The ham is the same.  2 slices = 70 calories, so 1 slice is 35.  Gotta love that.

I added some watermelon = 0 calories and yet so filling.  This is a really nice lunch and it more than satisfies my hunger and my desire for a meat and cheese sandwich.

I love that I can have a really nice lunch and it is only 160 calories.  So if you are in the mood to cut back a little, you might want to give this a try.  This is part of my new diet and I don’t feel like I am dieting at all.
