When Spring and Summer arrive with tons of sunshine and pretty flowers, I always want to add some pops of color to my home and a little bling to my decor.
Come on in, I’m glad you’re here. I’ll get you a glass of lemonade and show you around.
This spring I have been adding accents of tangerine through out the house, so of course the living/dining areas received a few changes.
My favorite summer looks are crisp white, shiny brass, beautiful flowers and the subtle accent of a pillow with a touch of tangerine. Just enough color to brighten up the room, but not so much that it screams at you.
This spring I added some black and white to the mix with some contemporary fabrics and patterns. I think it gives a traditional room a fresh update.
I love how the sun shines in the dining area window, it always makes this such a bright and happy spot.
I kept the buffet really simple, just a couple of hurricanes and a beautiful gold dish.
The hurricanes have gold leaf candles that I found at Ross and pearl sprigs anchored in coffee beans. The coffee beans make the whole room smell so good.
The dining table stayed pretty much the same, I just swapped out the wicker tray for a gold one. I love this white swan, one of my favorite finds.
All this fabulous gold and sparkle is perfect with the bling I added to my chandy. You can see that post here. Who knew they had magnetic crystals, how fabulous are they !!!
Across from the table is my favorite find. An antique china cabinet. I have had this piece since 1962. It is filled with family silver and crystal.
Standing next to the china cabinet, you can see thru to the kitchen/family areas, so they got a few touches of tangerine too.
. You can see the family room makeover in this post and the breakfast area in this one.
Of course a little tangerine was added to the kitchen too, you can hear all about my happy tangerine rooster in this post
Thanks for the visit, I loved having you here.
