Show Off & Inspire – Creatively Living

I am so thrilled and excited to have Katie here from Creatively Living.  First off she is the cutest thing you will ever see and how she does all that she does and takes care of her 5 children is totally amazing.  Her love of DIY and her talent for fixing up a house will just astonish you.  If you don’t know her and follow her blog, you will just be blown away.  So sit back and enjoy.

Hi everyone,

I’m thrilled and honored to be part of Marty’s Show off and Inspire series.

So who am and why am I here?

I’m Katie and I’m on my third year blogging at Creatively Living.

Here’s my crazy family. They are saints to put up with my ceaseless love of renovation!

10 yrs, 3 kids, and 5 moves ago, we bought our first house. I knew I would want to paint and re-floor almost any house we bought, so we decided to buy a house that REALLY needed some love…an ugly fixer. I loved it so much I’ve never stopped. We are now on house 4 and 5, and I’m still as excited about finishing out a space as I was when I started.

I just made over the entryway/coat closet in our new house.

You can see the befores here.

I rarely share any recipes on my blog, and most crafts have to do with whatever space I’m renovating at the time.

Here are a few favorites from our last house.

I think remodeling on a budget is even more fun then having money to spend on whatever you want. It causes you to rethink what you already have. It causes you to be creative.

Here are a few fun junk finds that I’ve upcycled over the past couple years.

This past summer, we purchased a fixer from 1904. It was a duplex when we bought it, and we converted it back into a single family home.

It’s been quite a wild ride so far, but things are coming together.

Here are some sneak peaks of the progress.
