They say that copying something is the sincerest form of flattery, and boy, I really do want to flatter Design Indulgence. She posted the redo of a room that is so stunning it took my breath away and one of the things I absolutely loved is this picture.
Isn’t this beautiful and look how casually she threw her mink throw across the back of the sofa. Be sure to go see the rest of the room, it is fabulous.
Well, I have a mink throw too, so I thought maybe I could copy this and create something different on my sofa.
I love the way the fur just looks so squishy and cozy. I didn’t change a thing except the pillows and add the throw. Totally different feel.
Oh yeah, did you notice, I got out my brass lamps and I bought some drum shades. Kind of fun for a change don’t you think? Now I don’t totally love drum shades, but since they are the “trendy” thing now, it is an inexpensive way to join a trend. I needed 15 to 16 in which is hard to find, but I did get these at Lamps Plus and for $30 each, they are perfect. Plus when I bring the white lamps back they will look fabulous with the drum shades too.
They add some extra sparkle as the sun goes down.
So do you ever see something and then copy it. You guys are always inspiring me to try something new, and especially when it is free.
