I had a few friends over the other day for lunch, so I put together a really simple and easy tablescape with just a touch of fall.
I borrowed the cloche off of my coffee table and added a little bit of greener for an instant centerpiece.
Since we were having a buffet, I had the plates and silverware on the buffet counter, so I set the table with just a simple charger and napkin. Each place was set with a pumpkin for a touch of fall and as a gift for my guests to take home.
I wanted plenty of room left over for their drinks and salad dishes. Simple and easy for a luncheon.
As you can see the checked runner and brown napkins tied in well with the living room.
I decided at the last minute to move everything to the family/breakfast room and turn the dining room table into our “Decor Swap Table”.
Since I use check in the familyroom, the tablescape worked perfectly, just a small change in centerpiece.
Each person brought something for the swap table and then had a chance to pic what they wanted in trade. How fun is that!!! I got so busy I forgot to get a picture with everything that everyone brought.
I know, I am really bad, I didn’t take pictures when everyone was here, but it was a fun idea for a party and everyone had a fabulous time and went home with a treat. If you are having a get together with your girlfriends, the Decor Swap is a really fun idea.
