I didn’t think I had a clock fettich, but apparently I do. It’s funny how you look around and suddenly realize you have quite a few and can’t seem to pass up one that is different or unusual. I love all of my wonderful wall clocks that are from my mom’s collection, they are priceless to me, maybe that’s why I can’t seem to pass up any clock.
This school house clock is one my uncle found in a school they were tearing down in Los Angeles, he rescued it and restored it and gave it to my mom. See the buttons on the bottom, they were used to ring all the different bells for recess, lunch and such. Love it and yes it works.
This regulator my mom gave me years ago, it was my first clock.
These three are part of my mom’s collection that I got when she passed away.
I love all the detail and the turnings are gorgeous.
This was a really inexpensive clock that was sold by the thousands in Sears Catalog at the turn of the century for about $1.50.
This clock on the right is the most special of all. My mom loved woodworking and had a laithe, so she made all the turnings and made this entire clock for me.
I love the detail and the wonderful pediment on top. Such a special treasure.
See the brass placques inside. Made especially for you – Marion & Erwin Longino and the bottom one says Love Mother & Daddy 1977. Gosh, I sure miss them.
This is another kitchen style clock. This one was made so it could either hang or stand. All that detail is pressed into wood.
This one is called a Mantel clock, they were usually quite unique and prized possessions.
This really ornate brass clock was wrapped up in the bottom drawer of my bedroom dresser when I found it at the Thrift store. I didn’t know it was there until we got home and I started refinishing the dresser and when I pulled out the bottom drawer, there it was. Super ornate.
I am fascinated by crystal clocks and have two. Both of them were found at Goodwill. I think they are so pretty and really inexpensive at about $2.99 each.
I think the cutwork on both of these crystal clocks is gorgeous. So much detail and the light just dances off of them.
This is another ornate clock that I found at Goodwill. I can’t imagine giving this away. I think it is fabulous.
The Anniversary clock was a present from my DH on our 25th Anniversary. He even had it engraved. So special and such a priceless treasure to me.
