October Pinterest Challenge – Thanksgiving Table Ideas

I’m excited to be joining in for the October Pinterest Challenge – Thanksgiving Table Ideas hosted by Cindy @CountryRoad407.  This is where we take a picture from Pinterest and then try and recreate it by introducing our own personality and style.

If you are coming over from Cindy’s, welcome and I am sure you loved her table as much as I did.  This month Pinterest Challenge comes from this beautiful Simple & Elegant Thanksgiving Table by Lindsey Brunk.

Her gorgeous table is beautiful with dark burgundy and gray.  I love her long floral runner down the center of her table too.  The soft green of the eucalyptus is repeated with her choice of dishes.  Adding the gold flatware is the touch of glam.

I wanted to create the essence of her table by designing a similar long floral centerpiece and copying a few of her elegant details.

I used a gray runner down the center of my round table and added some beautiful Burgundy blooms and Eucalyptus to create the feel of her centerpiece.  Since my room is open and has two story ceilings, I wanted to add a little height with some candlesticks and interest with some velvet pumpkins and candles.

One of the features of her table that really caught my eye was the way she crossed her gold flatware.  I created a similar design to mine.  I also copied her idea and used a small little “thankful” message on each plate.  Since my table is basically gray and white, I added a gray marble salad plate to my setting.

I think my table captured the “idea” of her pretty table and still respects my own personal touches.  This was a fun table to create.

Beautifully done, Marty! The runner and placemats are lovely with the bit of glam peeking through. I also really like your tall candlesticks, velvet pumpkins and flatware. You did a lovely job making this vignette your own. How great to have a two-story ceiling for some photo ops!

Hi Marty! I love your interpretation of this month’s Pinterest Challenge table ~ I love how you’ve used the marble salad plates and then the wine goblets repeat the marble swirls. The candles on their wooden candlesticks even have a hint of marble to me. The whole table is lovely and romantic!! Happy to be with you on this month’s PC tour. <3

Enjoy your table and happy fall to you,
    Barb 🙂
